3D Laser Mapping Offers Innovative Visualisation Software

Laser Mapping has announced new software that makes it much easier to access and view laser scanned data. The innovative Arena 4D software provides a common reference frame for a wide variety of data sources including the billions of individual measurements captured by static laser scanners or mobile mapping systems – such as 3D Laser Mapping’s StreetMapper. This single ‘arena’ allows for the integration of multiple data types and formats, including all common LiDAR datasets, within an easy to use environment and without the need for, or expense of, specialist hardware.

Global Mapper v15.1 Release Includes Support for MS SQL Spatial and 3D Updates to the Path Profile Tool

UAV mapping in Niznij Novgorod (RUSSIA) by UPVISION

In December 2013, Czech biggest UAS company UPVISION in cooperation with Techniserv and UVS Avia conducted aerial surveying works using the UAV system Microdrone MD4 1000 in Russia. The mission objective consisted of mapping in several locations for surveying company from Nizhniy Novgorod executed within a week timeframe.

2013 Report on the International LiDAR Market - Includes Forecast to 2018

AmericaView Wins Major Competitive Grant from USGS

AmericaView, a university-led, state-based consortium designed to promote remote sensing science and technology, was awarded a nearly $1 million National Land Remote Sensing Education Outreach and Research Activity grant by the U.S. Geological Survey this week through a competitive process. Administered by the USGS Land Remote Sensing Program, the grant has renewable options for up to five years (i.e. potentially up to $5m over that period).
