February 06, 2013 -- A large photographic display is helping house hunters in Norwich, England, find their ideal property. Using high resolution aerial photography from Bluesky, graphics and print specialists Creative Image Management (CIM Signs) created the large scale display for Abbotts Countrywide Estate and Letting Agents. The 2m x 3 ½ metre wall mounted graphic is located in the company’s newly opened Thorpe St Andrew office the latest addition to a network of more than 50 branches across Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex.
“Abbotts wanted something truly stunning to form the centrepiece of their new office,” commented Mark Baker of CIM. “Having worked with Bluesky in the past we suggested an aerial image of the vicinity. This would allow visitors to locate properties for sale or let, and look at them in their real world context without leaving the branch.”
CIM created the large wall mounted display using a state of the art Solvent Inkjet printer. Once scaled the digital image file supplied by Bluesky was printed directly onto Wall Art self-adhesive film – effectively a large sticker – that was attached directly to the wall.
“This display is so much more than a pretty picture,” commented Peter Hurrell Director at Abbotts Countrywide. “Yes it is a stunning centrepiece for our newly opened branch and a definite talking piece but it is also an effective tool for staff and customers to identify and communicate their preferred locations and property choices. This is solution we hope to roll out as we continue to expand our network of branches across the region.”
The Bluesky image was reproduced from an original aerial survey of Norfolk flown in 2010, captured at a height of 2,400 metres with a large format ADS40 digital survey camera. The resulting images were processed into a map accurate digital data set covering 1,539 square kilometres of Norfolk at 25cm resolution.
